Jennie Murdock, LCSW, LMT
She received her B.S. degree in Social Work from BYU in 1973, with a Masters in
Social Work from BYU in 1991. She has been working as an L.C.S.W. since 1991,
specializing in the treatment of severe behavioral disorders with children,
attachment, adoption issues and developmental delay problems; as well as complex
PTSD trauma victims-- both children/teens and adults. She has worked in
inpatient and outpatient treatment facilities in community mental health with
children, teens and adults; as a crisis worker admitting patients to the
hospital psychiatric ward; as a trainer for a domestic violence center; clinical director for an adolescent residential treatment program,
in the JJS system; and was a practitioner and co-owner of a private practice clinic specializing in treatment of attachment disorders for many
years. She has supervised many graduate students in process of gaining their licensure, serving as adjunct faculty in that
capacity. She has done trainings locally and nationally on the subject of
attachment/bonding and trauma.
Currently working exclusively in private practice with her amazing partners, dreaming and
actively building their holistic healing center, she learns daily from her clients. There she does
individual/family/group therapy sessions. and is in the dissertation stage of completing her PhD(c)
from Santa Barbara Graduate Institute (SBGI) in Pre and Perinatal psychology.
Other certification/specialties include CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ),
EMDR, Brain Gym, Yoga, and Neurofeedback; as well as energy psychology
techniques such as BodyTalk, Psychosomatic Energetics, Emotion Code and EFT
(Emotional Freedom Technique). She also has a license as a massage therapist
with an emphasis on infant massage and is very committed to mind/body/spirit
integration and wellness in her work with her clients. She loves her work and
considers every day a privilege and a blessing to get to be a part of peoples’
healing journeys. As loving wife, proud mother of 6 children and 12 beautiful
grandchildren; in her spare time….what spare time????,she loves to read,
exercise, travel, dance, sew; attend theater, art shows, concerts; ski and swim;
do humanitarian work; be with family; and watch sunsets.
